Drupal Developer Days Barcelona 2012

Drupal Developer Days Barcelona 2012
We are thrilled to announce that the 2012 Drupal Developer Days will take place in Barcelona from Friday, June 15, to Sunday, June 17, 2012.

We welcome all European Drupal developers (and of course all others) to help us rock Barcelona during three exciting conference days.

During the Drupal Developer Days you can expect sessions, trainings, ad-hoc meetings, code sprints and practical workshops about the latest developments and techniques in Drupal 8 and beyond.

The conference is targeted at Drupal developers with varying skills sets: from the beginners who just discovered Drupal to the experts that push the Certified to Rock meter into the red. The sessions will focus on technical topics.

Programme

On Friday you can participate in code sprints and trainings, so you are well prepared for a long Saturday filled to the brim full with sessions. Saturday night you can re-charge your batteries and socialize during the Drupal Fiesta. But don't party too hard because we need you back on Sunday morning for more interesting sessions. We stop early on Sunday so everyone can travel home safely or enjoy a well deserved siesta.

Drupal 8 initiative sprints

Before the conference, a four day i18n sprint is being organized by Gábor Hojtsy at the same venue. During this sprint the i18n team improves and creates the multilingual features of Drupal 8. We are trying to have more core initiative sprints during the event.

Location

This three day developers gathering takes place at the Citilab grounds in Cornella de Llobregat, Barcelona. The Citilab training & research center is becoming a familiar home for Drupalistas after having hosted the 2007 Drupalcon and the 2010 Drupalcamp Spain.

Registration for the event will open very soon. A call to submit sessions will be launched after that.

The event is organized by the Catalan Drupal Association and the Spanish Drupal Association.

The Drupal Developer Days are an initiative of the Drupal community to celebrate conferences that focus on a particular aspect of web development. Check out other such initiatives like Frontend United (for designers and themers) and Drupal Business Days.

Our Drupal Developer Days website is under heavy construction but you can stay in touch by following @drupaldaysbcn on Twitter.
